Our Staff

Ben Peters is a 29 year old audio engineer and multi-faceted production educator from Pittsburgh, PA who has been working in audio and event production professionally since 2019. He got his start working for production companies around Pittsburgh doing everything from live sound, location sound recording, theater sound design, theater mixing, theater audio cue operation & programming, live streaming, and audio installation.

Getting his start just before the COVID-19 pandemic he quickly had to learn how to adapt to an entirely different and ever-changing production landscape to stay employed in an industry that could no longer operate in the capacity that it had prior. After years of working for production companies he started doing live sound independently with his own equipment providing sound for local acts, businesses, and theater companies at locations all around Pittsburgh and has continued to do so ever since. In addition to live sound, he also produces, records, and mixes his own music, installs lighting for Honcho Campout, creates live audio reactive visuals for events, DJ’s, makes music videos, hosts a podcast interviewing local artists called Press Play, and collects records that he samples from to create music.

In September of 2023 he started working for Tech 25 as an instructor teaching Audio Basics and Start on Success.
