This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of single-phase and three-phase portable power distribution, equipping students with the knowledge needed to safely and effectively work with the equipment used in entertainment lighting and audio applications.

Participants will gain hands-on insights into:

Portable Power Systems – Understanding NEMA devices, Neutrik PowerCON and True1, 19-pin “Socapex” multi-circuit power, and cam-lok power systems, including cable assemblies and portable distribution panels.
Power Functionality & Safety – Learning how these power systems operate and the critical safety precautions necessary for handling them in real-world production environments.
Data & Audio Connectivity – An introduction to essential data and audio cabling, including DMX 512 with 5-pin XLR, CAT5 and CAT6 with EtherCON RJ45, and various audio cable assemblies built by Lex Products.
